As a parent, your responsibility is to be involved in your child's practicing particularly with younger and more beginner students. Those students who have parents that provide time, support, encouragement, and discipline have far greater results than those who don't. You play the largest part in their success!

Parents should review the weekly lesson plan that I have carefully written out each week at lessons and help your child practice on a consistent basis. You are also expected to provide the books and music your child will need as well as an adequate instrument (for violinists).

As a student, your responsibility is to come to lessons well-prepared having practiced at least 4-5 days per week; specifically the things that I have assigned you. Be sure to play or sing with proper technique that I will work on with you at lessons. Bring all your materials: music, books, and shoulder rests (for violinists). Mark your practice records throughout the week.

Violinists must keep their nails trimmed short to ensure proper technique!
